I am measuring N2O emissions from Corn following winter cover crop: Hairy Vetch + Triticale and Red Clover + Timothy. Liquid dairy manure was broadcasted at same rate after the cover crop was mowed and incorporated by moldboard plowing. Immediate response on N2O emissions differed substantially between the two systems. I would like to have some thoughts, if anyone has experience on it, on decomposition and N release characteristics of these two cover crop mixtures.

Thanks!
