In the moment of biopsy could left in procedures tumor tissues that could progress rapidly. It's very bizarre but in majority of this cases the treatment can be as fast as possible.

The healing of biopsy site involves upregulation of growth factors, that given the upregulation of receptors on tumor cells.  Cases of rapid growth of lesion at biopsy site and extraction sites are seen clinically in cancer patients, supporting this potential.

Biopsy especially incisional biopsy can cause seeding of tumor cells thereby causing rapid growth. This happens especially in salivary gland tumours. In order to prevent this, fine needle aspiration cytology should be done for most cancer especially salivary gland tumors.

Biopsy don't trigger malignancy but there r text regarding biopsy can spread cancer that too needle biopsy due to seeding and implantation of Tumor tissue at other site but this can Also be prevented.

We have seen a lot of oral cancer cases that exhibit a rapid rate of growth after taking the incisional biopsy. The inflammation that occurs at the insicion site attempts to heal the incision by poolling in growth factors. The latters act on the malignant squamous cells too causing the flare-up in the tumor size. No to forget mentioning that malignant cell have a stronger response to growth factors than do the normal cells.

We have seen these changes in almost all the cases as the biopsy reports are awaited and within a week we happen to see a drastic change in the literature. Is there any literature or study mentioning the same and any explanation for this phenomena.

FNAC is far better than incisional or punch biopsy .
