I am going to modify a SiO2 substrate with one of the fluorinated alkyl-silanes for having the surface of the SiO2 substrate hydrophobic and oleophobic as well.
After that, silane-treated SiO2 needs to be cleaned by piranha solution for some reasons. I am worried about this step...
Would fluorinated alkyl-silane treated on SiO2 substrate be remained stable after the cleaning step with piranha solution???

fluorinated alkyl-silanes on SiO2 substrate make strong chemical bonds. you cannot remove them just by washing through piranha solution.
A part of RSi-O-Si bonds (not Si-O-Si) are broken by the action of strong sulfuric acid. CH2 groups near CF2 fragments may be oxidized with hydrogen peroxide.
Who's answer is correct..?
If SiO2 modified with fluorinated alkyl-silanes is washed with piranha solution, would it remain hydrophobicity(or olephobicity) caused by fluorinated alkyl-silanes on it ?
Or its property would be deteriorated????
