Cultural sensitivity is an issue in TEFL contexts and in syllabus design. Aspects of the English culture may clash with those of the Foreign language cultures and if teachers are unaware of them or do not appropriately explain them,students would be ill at ease .

I totally agree with Dr. Farangis Shahidzade. Religious sensitivities cause problems in the EFL/ESL classes. For instance, in course books teaching concepts such as "drinking wine, kissing, boyfriend, and girlfriend" are not very welcomed in our classes.
Sometimes going around the issues is not a way of addressing culturally-sensitive aspects ... Students need to be more or less informed about certain things that relate to foreign culture aspects, even asked to participate in debating these things in relation to their culture because this could be a lot more beneficial for getting to know diverse ways of attending to the multi-cultural world we are living in where there is a place for everyone, as long as there is respect and collaboration.
