Does anyone know if there is a Windows alternative for ModelTest-NG? I have few sequences for phylogenetic analysis, but i own a Windows system, technically, it hasn't been easy trying to set up Linux, virtual and otherwise. If someone could suggest an alternative, it would be much appreciated.

You can probably use jModeltest online by creating an account on this website: https://www.phylo.org/portal2/login!input.action
It should be free as long as you do not use more than 1000 hours of cluster time (should be enough for your project).
Note that it can also run BEAST2 on this website, so you can avoid using your own computer.

as another possible option, IQ-TREE (http://www.iqtree.org) is supposed to run on Windows systems and implements model testing.
