i am doing a research about new drugs discovery on accelerated wound healing and i want to discover how this drug works on accelerating wound healing, i will use 3 sample groups of rats with full thickness wound, because this is my first time research to compare the cytokines in wound healing, will you please suggest me what cytokines are the best to measure and compare between groups? and which methods is the best for measure it? (eg.elisa or immunohistochemistry or immunofluoresense or anyelse?) if you would like to do a research collaboration i will be glad to join in

From an analogue study, I've found: reduction of
pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, IL-8, IL-1β, TNF-
α, and GM-CSF), matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-
9), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and
macrophages. methods I'd say Elisa or immunofluorescence. Bot check out this.
Hi, I think it depends on the stage(s) of wound healing process that your drug may affect! (Inflammation., proliferation, maturatio)
first I suggest you to focus on the pathway that your drug may work and then think about the stage of the wound healing that may affect and finally you can choose your target cytokine.
