Every country is trying to invent a vaccine for the Covid-19 virus. But the characteristics of the virus varied from country to country due to frequent mutation. Under that situation, will the vaccine effective for all countries when it will develop from one country?
Normally the SARS-CoV-2 should not vary so much that a vaccine is only applicable in one country.
But one problem could be that a rich Country that the US is developing a vaccine and the Trump administration is only and mostly allowing its application in the USA. The same may apply the vaccines in Russia or China.
But the UN has underlined that a vaccine must be available for all...
The EU has unterlined that as well. And China has promissed to make a vaccine available for all... So let us hope that a vaccine will be available for all soon...
Every country is not capable to develop vaccine for themselves. Think about EPI vaccination please.
there are many vaccine candidate under trials in different countries, and i think it need at least one year to start mass vaccination, and it also need long term monitoring to fined if the virus experience mutation and how often? experience from other corona virus said that the virus is randomly mutated , but the speed that the virus is transferring over the world mandate to prepare vaccine from same strain and even from different strains if there is different strains in different countries, finally up to now we still lacking a lot of data to decide

If we follow the all phases in trials then it would be generalized usually and if it's effective after trial then nothing to be worried to use globally. Development of COVID-19 vaccines are needed for using globally not for local use only. The things are safety and effectiveness and also ensuring its equitable distribution across the world.

Yes, absolutely. Today the EU is thought to fully acknowlege the Biontech/Pfizer mRNA vaccine. The USA has allowed Emergency Use for two mRNA vaccines last week... VAccinations have started in the USA, England, Canada, Israel and are going ahead. Vaccinations are also applied in Russia and China (well). In Arabia I learn the vaccines are also allowed and I hope they are used (I saw a picture from the UAE or Saudi-Arabia, I think)... soon we will have 3 to 7 vaccines available... In Germany and all of EUrope the vaccinations will start from 27/28 december 2020 on...

The two mRNA vaccines have been found to be highly efficient. Another one is now in Phase III (from Germany, CureVac)... The AstraZeneca is also under review and will shortly be allowed to use...
