I am testing a reinforced concrete beam in ABAQUS v6.11. I have used CDP model to define my concrete . I have also defined compression and tension damage parameters. My solution has converged and I got a reasonable load deflection curve. But when I plot the Mises Stress vs LE_max, the plot is not same as the input values given for CDP model. Can anyone explain the reason for the same?
Specifically, what input values are you comparing with? Note:
1.) LE_max is the maximum principal value of the *total* log strain.
2.) The model hardening behavior seems to be specified in terms of an effective *plastic* strain, not the total strain.
3.) The definition of the effective plastic strain depends on min and max principle strain values. Thus, depending on your loading conditions, the max principal value may be the incorrect value to use for comparison.

I have attached the comparison plots and the input file of my simulation. I have used Saenz model to define the compression behaviour and Wang and Hsu model for tension behaviour. In compression most of the results are widely varying from the input values. For tension its comparable at some elements.

I am comparing the input compression and tension behaviour to the output results by plotting Mises Stress vs Total log strain. Yes, as you have mentioned the behaviour is defined by Inelastic strain. I calculated it using the formula ( Yield Strain - (Stress beyond yield)/E). The loading condiions are displacement controlled.
I had thought that the Concrete Damage Plasicity in Abaqus which uses Drucker Prager model specifies the equivalent stress for the concrete behavior. Which prompted me to compare Mises stress to total strain. If this approach is incorrect can you suggest the right approach which I should follow. I have attached my input file along with this.
