Selectivity index (SI) is used to predict in vivo toxicity from a cytotoxic assay. In my case, I have used C. elegans to determine the acute toxicity of natural products resulting in low MICs. Cytotoxicity tests let calculate the SI by dividing IC50/MIC but I have LC50 from C. elegans acute toxicity experiment.

Will it be right to calculate the SI by dividing LC50/MIC?

I will appreciate so much your help because I don't have experience in toxicity assays.

Best regards
