Many stumbling blocks limit the implementation of online-learning, let me address some of them:

• Many countries haven't pre-infrastructure to implement this trend of learning.
• No enough money to buy enough food and, in turn, to buy computers or good mobiles.
• There aren't enough trained personnel to conduct online teaching which is a core prerequisite.
• The cultural view of knowledge and learning hasn't reached an adequate level in these poor countries.

Despite the above facts, replacing face-to-face learning with the online one may be the only solution on these days of COVID-19. But, we are looking at how we find computers, the Internet, modern mobiles for those poor people. The problem is not easy, especially that they haven't enough food!In any way, exams must be inside the educational institutes with the physical attendance of the students. By this, we can guarantee that the students should learn by themselves instead of cheating their exams.

Most of the Governments around the world have temporarily closed educational institutions in an attempt to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. These nationwide closures are impacting over 91% of the worlds' student population. Several other countries have implemented localized closures impacting millions of additional learners.Further,developing a purposeful and well-defined online course, which supports the instructor and learner, means devoting the appropriate time and embedding the applicable course elements into the e-learning environment, reforms of the education . Through the use of technology, we can, if not provide a strong alternative to the conventional education system, mitigate and compensate for the impediments posed and inconvenience caused due to COVID 19 pandemic to the education system and learners by extension. Learning, as they say, is a continuous and ever-evolving process. The educational institutions in the Globally , from schools to universities, can use this present adversity as a blessing in disguise and make digital education a major part of the learning process for all learners in the future. by Digital learning has many advantages in itself like digital learning has no physical boundaries, it has more learning engagement experience rather than the traditional learning, it is also cost-effective and students get to learn in the confines of their comfort zone.

Well in the US, most schools are not 100% sure of what school will look like in the fall. Thou there are plans but we don’t know what’s coming (2nd wave or not). But if you ask me, life is important. I would prefer to go online. Face to face can wait till Covid is gone. Beijing is an example. Schools are now shut down due to the second wave.

Dear Prof. Dr. Yacine Lafifi, I don't know if another module would be ideal. I think that the practices of different disciplines need to incorporate innovations and changes. The different contents of the school curriculum could be taught with the support of different media. And while you learn from the media, you can learn about the media, about how messages circulate and forge our perception of reality. We would certainly decrease the vulnerability of children and young people to Fake news for example.

Online education will surely be the solution during the pandemic. Teachers and students will have to learn "on the go" how to make distance education effective. I taught physics and I counseled psycho-educational students in the hospital school all this time. But what do we do with the need for empathy and physical closeness? Asking students what they prefer, face-to-face or online education, many have told me that they prefer the first of them. I hope we can at least talk about blending learning. Personally, I believe that teachers and students should benefit from a module on online education for good understanding of it.

Distance education and e -learning will surely play major roles in advancing education at all levels during the pandemic period. Institutions should provide the resources required for the take off.

In most of the educational institutes, there was an ad-hoc online education adaptation due to Covid-19. In my experience, I was trying to introduce technology-based education to the faculty members for a few years. But only a few members used it for their teaching. However, with the university closure, every member has to adopt it since there were no alternatives. Now they are experiencing the importance and usefulness of technology-enhanced teaching it seems they will continue using it even after the faculty starts its normal routine. Therefore, I believe there will be a reform in the education system which lead by the ad-hoc situation happened due to Covid-19.

The word reform does not apply here rather adoption is the right word. The concept of E-Learning had been in existence long before now in the global educational realization. The implication of COVID-19 on the global educational agenda will be to open up education to different technological innovations and to refocus educational methodology and its curriculum assessment into contemporary modernism.

I do believe that the policies adopted in the educational sector will not remain the same after COVID-19. The intensity of the changes that this sector will face depends on the finance provided by the government. The changes will occur on both school level and university level, the big challenge would be on the applied majors.

Como Docente con más de 25 años de experiencia es urgente un cambio en el ámbito educativo porque los alumnos así lo necesitan. No son ellos los que se deben adaptar a nuestras metodologías sino nosotros quienes debemos aprender a guiarles con otras herramientas. In elementary schools as per experience Sir Yacine Lafifi , teachers, students and parents as well are still on the process of learning the technicalities of the e-learning management systems with modules. As of now, teachers who will handle online learning modality lack trainings and competence to effectively utilize e-learning system. Complicating this picture even is the very poor internet connection in the locality where we are located. So I guess, not. But for higher education, it would likely open new reforms in education since students in this stage are already equipped with the necessary technological skills.

I too agree that COVID-19 will greatly impact the educational system for the future to come! At the higher ed level I believe that this will definitely shape the discourse for designing better distance learning platforms for instructors and students. The bigger question goes beyond implementing distance learning for elementary and secondary students. How will funding be appropriated to ensure that all districts ( rural, high poverty) will have access to provide distance learning opportunities?

Yes, indeed. E-learning which has been with us all along but with limited application due to affordability, teacher limited knowledge and capability,among others, has come to stay with the realities imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Yes COVID-19 has forced all of us in the education sector to change our ways of teaching from traditional to e-learning. The challenge is that some of us have just started the process which is tough for us and our students. Resources such as microphones,webcams and other devices needed for virtual classes are not available in some institutions. So E-learning intergration post covid 19 should be continued by all educators from primary schools to tertiary institutions.

Thank you for raising this important and very relevant question. The prevalence of Covid-19 has certainly brought about a new normal in many spheres of human interaction. As another sphere where humans interact, education is not exempted. At any level, be it primary, secondary or tertiary institutions there is need to shift from relying solely on the traditional methods of instruction where both the teacher and students have to be physically present in the teaching and learning station.

Migrating from the traditional methods can ensure that teaching and learning happens and no child/student is left behind. For some it may sound like for primary school learners it may be a serious challenge. However, I have experience of a primary school where learners have been trained to use such interactive media as tablets. Although usually those learners would use tablets under the supervision of the teacher. Such practice can be a good foundation for use even when the learners are at home. All that is needed is collaboration between the school and the home where even at home learners still have the kind of supervision that they do at school.

I'm aware that migrating to remote learning and teaching may be a challenge in many countries that are economically challenged. However, the current situation should come as a learning curve in which education authorities and teacher training institutions have to develop new operative models where the use of ICT becomes mandatory.

For education authorities it can be made mandatory that for anyone to be employed as a teacher the skill of using ICT becomes a prerequisite. Inadvertently this will make it mandatory for teacher training institutions to develop a module about the use of ICT and the trainee teachers receive indepth training so much that by the time they graduate they would have practice well enough.

For some people it may be argued that in economically challenged communities procurement of such gadgets may be a challenge. This may be a really relevant observation. However, I believe that if schools have collaborative relations with the corporate world a significant milestone may be reached. I have experience where, in a year, nearly all children from grade 4 to 7 at a school had access a tablet.

I think that the current situation should challenge governments, education departments, teacher training institutions, the corporate world and societies to have a shift in the look at how teaching and learning should unfold henceforth.

There is no doubt that we will use online learning, and the COVID pandemic will take some time. Yes, countries will vary in the severity of the burden of the problem. However, many states will move to close their borders to minimise a second or a third wave of COVID-19.

Firstly, I think the infrastructure has to be well equipped (internet bundles and speed, computers or tabs),

Secondly, a hybrid system should be used, 25% online for humanities, 10% at least for scientific stream.

Thirdly, the online courses must be face-to-face, avoiding the indirect contact with students.
