I bought Qiagen RNase A solution from Qiagen (100mg/ml solution) a while ago and it did not come with any storage instruction while the product website doesn't indicate anything either. I thought -20 would be a safe choice especially in the case that RNase is extremely stable. Recently I thawed one tube for experiment and before use I asked Qiagen tech if I should freeze it. They replied proper storage is Room Temp and freezing might affect activity. They can't tell if it's still usable. Should I buy a new tube or just go ahead use it? From the information I gathered some protocol specifically indicates it should be stored at -20 for long term storage even without glycerol. Now I'm confused.
