In research (theses), when one is done discussing their research findings (normally in the discussion chapter), they might wish to compare/link their findings with ones related to some (if not all) studies covered in the literature review (LR) chapter. This technique is said to enhance research validity and reliability.
What led one to create this discussion post is four whats.
What does it precisely imply when findings align with those mentioned in the LR?
What if they do not (align)? Is this a (study) limitation?
What would justify the non-alignment?
What if one opted against doing the synthesis altogether?
It may just lead the researcher to be biased and choose studies whose findings/results align with his/her findings only.
One would indeed be grateful for your enlightenment. Thank you!
