Why there is bubbles in template Stripped gold when I dipped into ethanol?

My substrate is Si/glue/Au, in which I have used template stripped process to transfer gold from full Si wafer into small pieces of the wafer. When I dipped this substrate into ethanol solution for more than 15 mins, bubbles start to form. Can you please any solution to this problem?
