As you can see, there are cracks in the spectra I got. The cracks locate in about 324, 413, 480, 518 cm-1 respectively. At first I thought it's because of my sample, but then I have different kind of materials tested and the cracks are always there.
I think it might be the problem of my Raman facility but I don't know which part I should check.
What are the instrument, laser, and grating? Is it with fixed grating? If it is, it may be an issue with pixels of CCD. It may be an issue with the continuous scanning technology or stitching of part of the spectra if it is not
Sergey Mamedov Thank you for your answer. Yes the instrument is with laser and fixed grating. So if it's the problem of CCD as you suggest, how should I deal with that? Should I take off the CCD and check the dust on it?
It may be dust or pixels lose efficiency. It is up to you. If it is a homemade instrument, you may take off CCD and check the window. If it is a commercial instrument, you may do it too but be sure that you marked the position of the CCD on the spectrometer flange. Otherwise, you may call the service of the vendor and talk with them. The service specialist will give you advice.
