I have a query regarding the efficiency of QZS converter, why is it around 91-93%, is it because of the upper limit of duty ratio (50%). I proposed a converter which is similar to QZS but the output side capacitor (C0) is charging for a period of (1-D)Ts. In this case, can I say the the efficiency is similar to the cases of D=100% converters which is around 95%.

Converter Details:

Input voltage= 40 V

Output Voltage = 400 V

Power Rating = 500 W

Switching Frequency = 50 KHz (Hard Switching)

Duty ratio = 42%

Voltage Gain =1/((1-2D)(1-D))
