Stephen King's name is synonymous with horror stories. Many consider King to be the most successful writer of modern horror fiction today. My question to you all are:
* How did you feel before watch horror movie?
* How did you feel when finishing the movie?
or
* Is there any positive or negative benefits we will get by watching horror movie?

Thank you for sharing those great scientific analysis. I am against watching horror movies wether it is a cartoon or in any form. Recently, I read a research finding that a large group of children felt their heart rate increased during watching a horror television programme while 65% cried and scrammed after watching the horrible scene. Trembling and freezing were felt by the 55% and 45% sample respectively. Thanks for your time again Sajda Taha Mahmood !
It is possible that horror films enable people to overcome their fear.
I do not watch the horror movies because they are scary, although they are not real and sometimes Guo directing feel you being true and sometimes others are about a real story and there are those who say it helps to lose weight

Thank you for your insight. I agree partly with your notion that horror movies might enable you to overcome your fear. But you can't just become braver just by watching the horror movies. You have to know how you feel fear, so you can better control it. Do you think most people know how to get good out of the horror movie? If so what are the ways? Any idea....

1. I feel tensed, because nobody know what is about. I personaly feel little bit nervous and excited in one way
2. It depends on what type of horror movie is it. Isn't horror like horror. I think its about expectation of every person, IF they realy looking forward to the film, they'll enjoy it.
3. It think the Best benefit of watching horror movie is that it causes little bit of adrenalin. The second I think that the benefit is to face your worst fears on screen than face them on real life. People behave different when they fear is on screen, they can face is easily than when they face it in objective reality.
Men loves darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil, (St. John 3:19). If you are a gangster I am sure you will not probably find pleasure in watching "The Sound Of Music". As a Christian I do not watch horror.

Horror movies provide a brief intermission from an otherwise boring life for some people. While it wold be fearful to experience horrible events in real life it keeps the viewer of the horror movie on the edge of his/hear seat trying to anticipate the next step.
I am scared of watching horror movies, they make me scared for days, but many feel better after watching horror movies.

It is a sympathetic nervous system stimulating activity. Those who have baseline underactivity of the sympathetic nervous system, might have thrill seeking (stimulating) behaviour to compensate the deficit.
It can be a potential area to study.
It can be related to the feeling of fear blocked by people who get used to seeing those movies naturally and for others if it seems to be a mechanism to generate feelings related to their own fear or symbolic fear, while another perspective of seeing is the dichotomy of the good protagonists with the evil the monsters, or the survival instinct where the most apt or the character who best manages the situation survives after several violent scenes of terror (metaphor for fear and fear of death)
