This is Johnny here . I am doing simulation in mixing tank using SST K-omega model and I have a question regarding convergence. When I used the first order upwind for momentum , pressure etc ,the simulation is converged but when I used second order upwind , the residual curves are oscillating.I performed for 20,000 iteration but it is still not useful. For your reference , I did it in steady state with convergence criteria 1e-06. So can someone suggest me what will be the problem ? It's all about mesh ?My skewness quality is 0.89 and number of elements is 500,000 and I even tried reducing relaxation factors,but it is not working .
Hello Christian Schubert , I have a same problem and my max cell skewness value equal to 0.69. But still, my second order residuals does not converge. Can you give some advice to me. Thank you.
