We Indians often felt difficult to pay very high APCs of many good international journals. When we convert the dollars to rupee, it will be around 60-90K rupees.Consider many places in the country a scholar will get only 10K per month.how can they pay this much for a paper.The similar problems may be facing in other countries too.depending on the wealth of the country ,if the publishers have charged an APC.it may help a lot of researchers.
dear noble , for these publishers, this is a business, you can try for other journals with out processing fee.
there is a journal science advances today, which is a good journal -started two years back from india- no fee- now there is no impact parameter for it. but a number of good articles are in that journal- the articles are not free access- you can see the abstract
I agree with you Sir. But I think the solution to Open Access is not Subscription journals.
the open access journal has to main tain the web and they need money,
there are some journal s in india, asian journal of chemistry, oriental journal of chemistry, with low fee less than 10, 000 rupees
