Suspected presence of CDOM and FDOM colored dissolve organic matter contaminate the water probably from the filtration interface. CDOM cannot be removed by filtration. The application adsorbent to remove CDOM is highly recommended.

  I suspect high concentration of bromine in the water, haven't tested for it, but I can see how a Chlorine ion would displaced the bromine, resulting the bromine solution (orangey-tint).

Based on the given answers, would absorption filter like resin filter cartridge would removed the bromine, and would not turn into orangey tint if disenfect with chlorine or ozone?

Do you know that sea water is added as nourishment in making effective microorganisms with bokashi bran and soil for water treatment? Sea water is so natural that when you add chlorine, it will really change one of its physical characteristics which is color as it reacts to an unnatural ingredient. Chlorine should not be a part of a natural process of water treatment though it may clean hard or acidic water.

• Amihan Grande, indeed but the issue is actually on technical side. In culture bivalves especially oyster need pristine clear water, we need to monitor oyster spat that are size of tiny black dot, which cannot be seen with coloured water. It does not help that the algae used in feeding is brown algae. Thus, we can differentiate the algae has been eaten by the oyster or not
