Why PHEMA precipitate in water?

PHEMA can dissolved in polar solvent such as MeOH, DMF. And it can not dissolved in apolar solvent such as hexane.

However, it precipitates in DI water. why it suddenly becomes insoluble when polarity of solvent gains?
