I m trying to spin coat pedot pss on ITO glass substrate but pedot pss splash out instancy when i start the procedure , first i clean the substrate by detegents in ultrasonic bath.
Your ITO surface is likely hydrophobic. This is why the PEDoT:PSS doesn't stay on the ITO layer. What you need to do is to treat your ITO either plasma Asher or solvent to make the ITO surface hydrophilic, so PEDOT:PSS coating can cover on the top of your ITO surface.
Your may use UV-O3 treatment of substrate for 10 -15 minutes before PEDOT: PSS coating. Cleaning in detergent is not enough in the case of PEDOT: PSS coating. After clean with soap, You may try for sonication in acetone and then IPA.
You can add approximately 5%IPA into PEDOT:PSS solution. And spin-coating IPA solvent on the ITO to make ITO surface hydrophilic, then coat your mixing PEDOT solution. In this way, it also works. We did it many times in this way instead of plasma Asher treatment on ITO. Hope it helps.
It's most likely due to the surface energy of the substrate. You can use oxygen plasma treatment to increase the wetting, however it's also an art so you may need to gently use your pippet to spread it onto the glass without touching the glass, this will allow it to spin coat more evenly
