Non-starch polysaccharides (NSP) and phytates are the main antinutritional components in the feed. NSPs are complex components as they composed of a variety of chemical compounds. Multi-enzyme cocktails act better in disrupting and depolimerization of these complex NSPs compared to a single enzyme. Also, a diversified multienzyme system breaks down the bonds between NSPs and phytates rendering nutrients more available for dissimilation.
I very much appreciate the answer given by the previous scientist. The substrate is not a pure material It is a mixture of components. To break down the various components studded therein, the exogenously supplied multi enzyme complex will always work better than a single enzyme.
Multi enzymes are working on feed stuffs as synergistic effect (to complete each others) to enhance the digestion of nutrients in mono-gastric animals and ruminants.
