The problem is mostly related to lack of time and the urgency for submitting a paper and having it published. As you know, Elsevier like many other prestigious publication agencies, has a sensitive blind review program that is time consuming so much so a paper takes at least a year to be published. Alternatively, the Middle East authors' compliance with the standards of the journal is often very weak especially in the area of academic writing. This caveat is another great obstacle preventing papers from being published in Elsevier.

thanks for replay, and I am not fully agree with you for what you say. My question was about why the Elsevier Journals not accepted a good papers from meddle-east authors ??? is the problem with them or with us??

As I told you I had published paper in Elsevier before when I wrote Just Manchester University /Uk on my papers.

Yes I agree with you , there are many ME who publish there and they did that after added many author names on the paper from outside meddle east .

I think for several reasons ...

The most important reason is that researchers in the Middle East are a little published and often publish research for promotions or discussions so there is an urgent need for speed of publication........

Dear Khaled, very interesting question. This situation happens to me many times, It is not only ME it is the Balkan too. However, I have read your answers and the answer of prof. Abbar, it can not be our fault that we live in countries where the scientific progress is not so high.

Dear Janusheva, I agree with you but we still have this problem, as I said before, when I was a PhD student in the University of Manchester / Uk, I did not have these problems, I have gotten three published paper within one year. !!!

I have a little experience on the subject which I am sharing now.

As I am attached with one journal and checked some articles of IRAN and COLOMBIA, I can say that the non English speaking people of these countries are not strong in English in most of the cases and try to convert article language by any mechanical mean. It makes the articles very tough to understand.

Personally, my mother language is Bengali. The medium of study was Bengali up to 12 standard. Like most of the educated Indians, I am also habituated in English.

The middle east authors do not have a good history in publishing a fluent paper, of course not all of them.

I did not notice that, many of my contributions avilable with full texts on RG were published in Elsevier journals, by the way Elsevier includes journals specializing in Africa, Asia including the ME, after reading all the discussions here, I think the problem is in the English language of some of our ME researchers. It is good to try and help each others to overcome this obstacle.

I already have 3 published papers there... but not just as a ME author. I was in UK in that time. If you go back to these papers, you will found one or more (always the 3rd or last names) are from outside of ME.

I think that Elsevier has a complex review system that is time consuming. Generally; Arabian researchers and academicians publishe there works to get an academic degree or to mentien them as the best researcher in there filed ( to get respectivelly). For that, they preferre publication agencies that introduce urgency submitting system for paper to having published works in short period.

I think there is preferential publishing for Global North Institutions, and within those the more elite institutions which Manchester is one. We should all learn from each other. I am dismayed many works do not engage with Arabic writings, Urdu, etc...there are many writings that can inform scholarship, in this transnational world. I submitted an article recently premised on a ME management subject which never even went for review as the editor said it needed to be linked to western literature....so there is a privileging of knowledge and knowing too.....Given the Middle East is home to El- Azar University the second oldest university in n the world (8th century) I want us to connect and learn from these histories.

I have made it my mission to challenge western logic and orthodoxy......as scholars globally we need to be inclusive and value diverse perspectives... Plus do follow China- they are making huge advances in developing journals, or playing a greater role in established ones...the open access revolution has started.....
