I have searched some advantages and disadvantages of FTO glasses and ITO glasses but this still does not explain why ITO is more commonly used as TCO across industrial purposes
If FTO is cheaper and has more advantages than disadvantages over ITO why not using it?

Besides the optical transparency, the electrical property is mose important which means a lower sheet resistance, alongwith improved stability and adhesion.
In this regard ITO will score better, as it can be developed over a much large area substrates, at a relatively lower processing temperatures compared to FTO coatings, and ITO coatings are much smoother.

Actually, It depends on type of solar cells. For organic solar cells , ITO is the best choice as its roughness is low and more conducting. While for amorphous silicon solar cells , FTO is first choice. FTO can sustain at high temperature (~550 degree Celsius).
