Why it is difficult for the Indian Scientists to find a new drug for COVID 19 treatment?
Every one know about the pandemic of Novel Corona Virus and the trouble. We cant continue for the continuous lock down. Either there should be drug to treat or vaccine. Lot of effort is going throught the world. But I am not finding a good paper or effort of Indian Scientists? What is preventing them to do research on the COVID 19? Are we so scared of the facility? Hope not so? As the virus is very contagious, scared about it? Veterinary Scientists had controlled so many Corona virus induced diseases in domestic animals a decade ago. Why cant you explore your capacity?

I have seen Chinese scientists quoting each other and even sending me a business invitation to do it for money. There are those who strive and those who do not.
Indian scientists need exposure to an outside world which they do frequently. There are many of those who went to top labs, learned and started their own in India. Quality of their research is in large part dependent on them but the goals are frequently set by the Dean or somebody in charge based on available resources. Give them better funding, resources and force them to work on difficult problems and they will make a jump.
Italy simply forced its own scientists to produce better quality papers and they did. The same can be done in Poland, India and many other countries. How to get funds is another story but the first step is the will to make something better instead of sitting on the bottom and be complacent in your own group.

@Nishan...this is official research platform. Instead of talking and abusing scientist..start from your own
hi-tech labs and equipment are basic for the research. In most of the labs in india, there is limited access to Scientific staff.
