I think that it is not useful to use these types of sensors for Kolsky Bars (or Hopkinson Bars). The analysis of the waves into the two bars is sufficient to obtain the complete mechanical behavior of the specimen under high strain rate. What do you want to measure?
@ Rémond: Thank you for the answer . I want to substitute the two extensometric gages by Optical Fiber Bragg sensors and measuring voltage vs time .After that, i'll calculate strain vs time, strain rate vs time and stress vs strain.
That's what I want to carry out, although it seems to me that there's lack in performances of digitizers used with OFBS and I think photodiodes used for static applications are unable to record dynamic pulses due to their low response.
