Hi everyone,

I am analyzing gold nanoparticles via uv-vis absorption spectroscopy. One experiment involves a in-situ vacuum heating station, where I can measure the absorption spectrum in-vacuum and change the temperature.

One effect I saw is a red shift of the LSPR wavelength during the pumping stage. I first thought the this may be due to an increase of the particle size with decreasing pressure. But I could not find any papers supporting this claim.

Does anyone have an idea what the reason could be?

Thank you in advance!
