I assembled a half cell of graphite anode. The charge/discharge cycles were performed in the voltage window of (2 - 0.01 V). The discharge capacity of coin-cell is more than its nominal capacity at high C-rate, because the voltage oscillate when the cell discharge from 0.01 V to 2 V. is this behavior normal? whats the actual reason of this behavior?

Thank you dear Jin Niu. I checked the voltage of anode at a T-cell when it was charging. the voltage of anode half cell may become negative at low level when I set the constant voltage procedure. But l see this oscillation of voltage at discharge process and at high C-rate. What is the reason?
Hello dear anthony , I do my test at room temperature. I tested my coin cells at about 1C but there was no problem with voltage peofile. I see the oscillation of voltage at high C rate and in discharging process. This is unusual.

This problem was related to the anode ability to deliver the capacity at high rates. A suitable solution was reducing the thickness of the anode. For example, the blade gap (for coating the anode slurry) was set at 100 microns and the problem was mainly resolved. Therefore, this can be an idea to make high-rate anodes.
