Hi all,

I'm monitoring the process of photoconversion in a GFP-like chromophore. The chromophore changes from green fluorescence to red fluorescence upon UV illumination. I recently performed an experiment where I applied UV light to the sample, removed the UV light, and then let the sample incubate in the dark at pH 9.3 for an hour to get everything into an anionic state. During this hour, I removed aliquots of the sample and took an absorbance reading (over which A571 increases as expected).

My 280 absorbance has been decreasing over this time. Any idea what this could be from?
