Today, 1 July 2023, the European Space Agency (ESA) is launching the European Space Agency (ESA) space telescope EUCLID to explore "dark matter" and "dark energy" and similar hitherto unanswered questions, including why the universe is expanding. In what specific ways will learning more about these astrophysical phenomena influence life here on Earth currently, in the foreseeable future, and in the long term? Further, if you have scientific and / or mathematical expertise in this or a related field, can you indicate whether the findings of the ESA space telescope may help you to advance knowledge in your particular scientific or mathematical field of endeavor? If you are following the new Webb Space Telescope, will the Euclid Space Telescope have any bearing on the space exploration performed by the Webb Space Telescope?
