Is there any theory in psychology that illustrates that? why are you more likely to get the truth about a success story/ achievment rather than a failure? would be grateful if you can steer me into related resarch papers
Probably we prefer to highlight our success than failures. Sometimes we prefer to keep our profile pictures of young age instead of current old age because in most of the cases we do not look as beautiful as before, obviously because of aging.
Most people prefer to talk about success rather than failure, even in therapy, solution focused approach gives better results than problem focused approach. You can read bout the Solution Focused Theory..
Mr Subir Bandyopadhyay, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it goes a great deal deeper than what you think looks beautiful. There are many beautiful faces, but under many of them is selfishness self conceit and that is ugly. What your environment and society portray as beautiful is very different from culture to culture and even within those cultures are sets of beliefs of what beauty is. I personally believe we get more beautiful as we age as eventually the inside shows its true colours . I hope you have a happy life. kind regards sent . Jane Blewett
