Hello Fellow Researchers,
As we all know, Scopus is a very important citation database, especially for business science, and Scimago is also providing very important classification of the journals indexed by Scopus. The classification range from Q1 to Q4. Now, I have read about this classification from several resources and I cant understand how is it done! In other words why would a 9 H indexed journal receives a Q2 classification while a 29 H indexed journal receives Q4?

A Q1 has an SJR in the top 25% (Q2 is the second %25...) of journals for at least one of its classified subDISCIPLINES and the SJR is an index of weighted citations per article over a period of 3 years [1].
On the other hand, the h-index is calculated by counting the number of publications for which an author has been cited by other authors at least that same number of times [2].
That is, while q index depends on the publication year and subdisciplines, h-index is related to the number of citations in all publications.

I think you are talking about authors' h index, which dose make sense, but I am referring to journals' H index that can be found on SCIMAGO classification page for each journal.
