I realized that fumaric acid had not been tested in my lab with other organic acids compounds. Malic acid, citric acid, acetic acid, succinic acid, lactic acid, and tartaric acid are all tested in most methods. Is there a reason why this compound is always left out? Despite the fact that the HPLC column is capable of separating it.
Maybe the reason back to your lab. The fumaric acid can determine in acid mixture like you mentioned by HPLC using reversed phase column like ZORBAX SB 150x4.6 mm) or Primesep 100 (250x4.6 mm)
Using acidic pH phosphate buffer or TFA 0.1% in water and Acetonitrile (85/15) as mobile phase flow rate 1ml/min with UV detection at 210 using these conditions can separate the mentioned organic acids however the fumaric acid will cames out last at RT around 5 min in case of short column zorbax 150 mm or around 8 to 9 with the long column 250 mm

To the best of my knowledge, fumaric acid does not differ significantly from the other acids mentioned in your question as far as HPLC analysis is concerned.
