Why is Bromophenol Blue Loading Dye is turning red?

Hi everyone, I run into a bit of trouble while making a loading dye for my PCR using Bromophenol Blue. The recipe I used is 25 mg of Bromophenol Blue + 3,3 mL Glycerol + 6,7 mL H20, but my solution turned very red in color, I don´t know if I should try to adjust the pH and what the ideal pH would be. What should I do? And anyone has a better solution recipe than this one?
