I completed the work in hec georas and exported data to hec ras, after editing geometric data and steady flow data when i run the analysis, i am getting this error. "Bridge does not contain an opening on Upstream side", Anybody here know the answer kindly do answer as soon as possible. I will be very Thankful.
I've never seen such error, but it may be related to the number of cross-sections upstream of the bridge. The bridges require two cross-sections upstream and two downstream. If you have one or none, the HEC-RAS have to notice this as an error.
If it's not that kind of error, try to ask in LinkedIn, on HEC RAS Users group. There are many professionals and experienced users. You can also try in RAS Solutions blog/forum (http://hecrasmodel.blogspot.com/).
I agree, it's not that problem I mentioned. I don't know what is the reason for such error message you got. Try to ask in forums I wrote about. Or check them before, because somebody could meet similar problem like you. Good luck!
I think you should read carefully about the complete rules of make a inline structure for bridge, and follow them. For example, the minimum distance with upstream and down stream with the bridge, etc.
