I have made artificial diet for butterflies contain anti-fungal (sorbic acid) in low dosage. I put them into room temperature (25-29 Celcius) with plastic cover tested storage survival. Few days ahead, I see fungal miselium attacked it. No function of their anti-fungal?

You could reduce the temperature and humidity and replace the plastic cover with muslin to allow ventilation also reduce the Sucre percentage favor to fungal contamination, then you will notice best results

There are several causes of this phenomenon
1. fungicide used is not capable of completely eliminating.
2. The attacker fungus is resistant to fungicides.
3. The dose used was not sufficient.

Yes, I agree with Masoud Latifian and Houda Kawas but you should mainly reduce humidity via ventilation and contamination via sterilized tools.

The antifungal not effect on all fungi in same level, also it is related with the environmental, and dose of antifungal not have a general effect on all fungi

Sorbic acid is not a specialized fungicide so it is not able to eradicate all kind of fungi .I suggest to sterilize the sterilizable part of diet. It can reduce the incidence of saprophytic fungi.

In addition to Masoud Latifian and Houda Kawas' answers, keep also in mind that prevention is important. If possible, try to work in semi-sterile conditions, for example under a laminar flow hood and with semi-sterile containers.
