In India, According to the latest National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data on suicides, 10,281 farmers committed suicide in 2019, down from 10,357 in 2018, whereas the figure for daily wagers went up to 32,559 from 30,132.

Briefly, economic factor, stressful life events and psychiatric morbidity seem important risk factors here.
The expressed reasons behind farmer suicides were – debt , environment, low produce prices, stress and family responsibilities, apathy, poor irrigation, increased cost of cultivation, private money lenders, use of chemical fertilizers and crop failure.

As I think, the factors behind the suicides of farmers were: debt, the climate, low producer prices, tension and family obligations, apathy, inadequate irrigation, raised agricultural costs, private lenders, the usage of chemical fertiliser and crop failure.
Farmers are only the poorest community of the world who worked hard for daylong but living the most poor or ordinary lives throughout the universe. If someone thinking it seriously then it will force him/her to commit suicide. Besides this, other causes may be-
1. Not getting proper price of commodities.
2. Damaging of standing crops suddenly by natural calamities.
3. If farmers can not receive the loan, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides or any other
agricultural inputs in time for which they can't cultivate crops properly.
4. If can not repay the loan in time.
5. Crop Failure.
6. Stress and family affairs etc.
