I have been studying some solutions such as glycerol using DSC. I am getting results as expected but had a question regarding the effect of cooling rate on glass transition. As the cooling rate is reduced (I used 10, 5 and 1 C/min), the glass transition shift, i.e. the height of the step change we see drops to being very negligible for slower rates. Could somebody give a reason for why this step reduces for slower cooling rates ?
