In cleaning validation, the rinse method always shows better recovery results than swabbing. I would like to know why does this happen. Does any one have a paper about that?
It should not be the case. There are articles on swabbing procedure from my lab. Check if your compound is binding to the swab head by spiking a certain amount and perform a recovery test. If so, buy a low binding swab.
