Why does the status change back to "Under review" after 3 month of "Reviewers assigned"?

I have submitted a Manuscript to a springer journal about 4 month ago. initial about 1 month, the online tracking system has been showing "with Editor" as the current status.
latter, from last 3 month it was showing "Reviewers assigned"
current status is showing "Under review"
Can anyone tell me why again status change back to under review

1. With Editor
After submitting your manuscript, the editor will go through it to ensure it is within the scope of the journal and the caliber of your research is good enough to warrant bothering reviewers to look at it.
2. Reviewers Assigned
After the editorial check, the editor will assign between 2 and 6 reviewers. This simply means, 2-6 researchers will receive an email requesting them review your manuscript. As long as the researchers who received the email do not respond, the status of your manuscript will remain at Reviewers Assigned.
3. Under Review
When the reviewers accept to review your manuscript, the status will change to under review. If the reviewers are slow and the journal doesn't have a policy mandating reviewers to submit the review within a certain time period, your manuscript will remain in this status. Sometimes, the manuscript can go back to Reviewers Assigned. This often happens when there is conflict between reviewers or a reviewer becomes unresponsive.

Edmond gave a perfect description of the situation with your manuscript. I once encountered such, after two months of manuscript under "with editor", I had to write to withdraw my paper.

"Reviewers' assigned" means that the editor finally found reviewers that are willing to comment on the paper. But since reviewing takes time, sometimes more than three month, this time -lapse is described as "under review".
in clement’s situation,I probably would write to the editor and gently push forward the review process
Note that some journals ignore status "Reviewers assigned" or even "Awaiting recommendation", and only say "Under review" until you receive a decision.

In some journals reviewer assigned status meant that reviewer has been sent the review invitation. When status changes to under review it means at least two reviewer have responded to the invitation and accepted to review the manuscript.
Yes, this issue is a common scenario in many journal these days. And possibly because of too many manuscripts too deal with. Right now, am still experiencing another case, having a manuscript under "editor assigned" for more than a month now. I just wonder what the editor is doing!!!!!
Editor takes some time to find out appropriate reviewers, communicate with them for their consent to review the manuscript. Sometimes it becomes difficult to find out appropriate reviewers and thus considerable time is lost.
It means that ms is under review. Previous status means that Editor was searching for reviewers...
I have just submitted a manuscript to Taylor and Francis same day status change to under review status. Please do anyone has experience with this based on Taylor and Francis regulations
