Why does Lithiated Anode (lithium plating) shines reddish brown in color inside a Argon glove box??

We discharged the cell very quickly (3C) and there was still a lot of reddish brown discoloration inside glove box. This has completely disappeared in air. Also, i don't know why the anode shines so golden under argon instead of how lithium plating normally looks (metallic gray).

Lithiated anode shines reddish brown in color inside an Argon glove box due to the presence of oxygen in the glove box. When oxygen is present, it causes the lithium to react with it, resulting in the formation of lithium oxide. This oxide is what gives the lithiated anode its reddish-brown color.
