Has anyone thought, that during a 30-min heart-pumping cardio exercise (while you raise up the heart beat, toning up all muscles, and wearing out all joints), there is no benefit for your brains cells? It is only when you stop your cardio and warm down to a certain point, your capillary beds in the brain and other internal organs start to open up. Your elevated heart rate and your panting for air (oxygen) will improve micro-circulation for a minute or less, depending on how long you stay still. So, you spend 30 minutes to improve your muscles (and hurting your joints) and achieve only 1 minute of brain healing time. That is not very efficient. In theory, you may improve the efficiency by doing 10 short sets of cardio within an hour so that you can earn 10 minutes of brain healing time.
This is still better than the electric convulsion treatment. I always feel that the electric current which is used to shock the brain would cause more damage to the brain than to heal it. Most people think otherwise. My theory is the same as above. It is the seizure of the brain that causes stress to the heart and bring up the heart rate. Then, the elevated heart rate plus oxygen mask would improve micro-circulation in the brain and produce healing effects. Of course, doing very very slow taichi would be the most efficient way of all. A 30 minute set of taichi would possibility produce 29 minutes of quality micro-circulation time for all cells from head to toe. This is my taichi healing theory called Pao’s Law of Exercise, which uses hemodynamics and micro-circulations to explain all healing effects.
