After a 14 days break a current in CE started to be very unstable. I changed a buffer solution, changed capillary and cleaned electrodes. What else can I do? Where can be the problem? Sometimes it is functional but mostly not.
Make sure you are USING fresh, filtered newly prepared buffer solutions. Purge and flush fresh buffer solutions before use. Allow for stabilization time. Make sure the system is protected from drafts and is operating in a climate controlled room (per the operational site specifications).
No idea what you mean by : " I also hear crackling noise ". If there is an electrical fault with the system, then please shut it down, unplug it from the mains and have a service professional inspect the system.
I am agreed with William Letter's point of view. Secondly you may use a coated capillary along with a freshly prepared and filtered buffer of low molar concentration.
Thank you for your answers. I think everything you wrote is alright then probably service is the only option, because the noise seems to be, as you wrote, electrical fault.
Hi, unfortunately I didn’t. Even a servisman can’t recognize the cause of the problem. We tried basic things such as new buffer, new capillary, clean whole machine or new electrodes, new plate with electrical grounding. Still nothing
I am running into a similar problem where the current leakage persists even after changing capillary, electrodes, using fresh buffers. It's just inconsistent - for some samples it runs fine and then it may/may not run for another sample or the same sample. I am thinking to give a try to doublecheck the electrical connection if that fix the problem. Your suggestions are welcomed. Thanks!
