There are lot of accidents, incidents and nearmisses take place due to poor safety training in any occupation. If you are a researcher and involved in working in a laboratory setting you must have that preliminary training to save you, your co-workers, your results, and of course the laboratory.
As the saying goes any stupid can make a big mess from a simple laboratory process.
