Actually, if I am not mistaken, the gravitational deflection of light arises as the combined effect of the spatial and temporal parts of the metric (Weinberg in his 1972 book Gravitation and Cosmology, provides a very clean derivation). So time deflection and spatial curvature (length contraction) both play a role, and indeed this is why the magnitude of light deflection is twice what one would naively predict for a rapidly moving particle using Newton's gravity.

I agree with you but if you see the original paper of Einstein he assumed gravitatinal lensing of light wave near massive object is due to variation in speed of light which leads to time dilation. The length contraction is only appeared according to my information (correct them if Iam wrong please) in the case of non static gravitational field.

There were several "original papers" by Einstein. The correct calculation for the deflection of a ray of light was first introduced, I believe, in his November 25, 1915 paper (Preussische Akademie der Wissenschaften, Sitzungsberichte, 1915 (part 2), 831–839; see http://www.gsjournal.net/old/eeuro/vankov.pdf for an English translation) where he says, "However, it gives a somewhat different influence of the gravitational field on the light ray as in my previous work [...] an angular deflection of magnitude 2α/∆, while the earlier calculation [...] had given the value α/∆." This extra factor of 2 arises because, for the first time, Einstein takes into account the contributions of both the temporal and the spatial parts of the metric.
