There are both internal and external factors serving as indicators for a researcher to learn about his/her academic stance and rate of progress. As such, the RG score would specify the working torque guiding you forward and determine your the likelihood of your truancy and neglect in keeping in touch with other speech community members.
knowing RG score repeatedly gives us good feeling that we have good progress in research gate.
Why do we interest RG score ?
This is a community of scientifics and it is interest to read the idea
Makes one happy if it increases and makes one want to do better if it decreases.
It is only for information, the main purpose in RG remains the same: to "meet" new people every day.
To get recognition, the basic human tendency.
To get motivated and publish more.
Every student want to know him/her result. We too need to know how we got evaluated. Just for fun.
Because it shows the level of interactions and comments continuously .
Rg scores is calculated from:
(a) publications
(b) questions and answer,
(c) followers, and
(d) combination of these.
So, it is possible that, a member has high score but the it is derived mainly from social activities (followers, question-answer), but another researcher may have a lower score, but the score is derived form publications might have more sci.entific contributions. So, keep it in mind when you use this score.
