Prof. Sosa, nice to see your question and taking advance to send warm greetings. This particular behaviour should be due to the preferred orientation of the Pc molecules in the thin films and the particular packing in those layers of molecules. We have seen a quite similar behaviour, related to these phenomena in Pcs (PcSn(Carboxylate)2) interacting with lipids as surfactant molecules. Nevertheless the issue is not simply explained, indeed they form a kind of spectral band plateau among 550-750 nm meaning very different orientations and molecular interactions to obtain such a variety of absorptions, they behave like a light sponge in that state, the single molecule maxima of the band is ca. 700 nm.
