By ‘declensionist’ I mean someone with the 'world view' tendency to promote accounts of ecological deterioration due to the effects of human activity, involving environmental degradation, regardless of the evidence for that decline. Please note, I am not referring to situations where ecologists have objectively amassed evidence for a declining ecological trend and are trying to figure out what to do about it. I’d be interested in your experience and views regarding causes and consequences of the declensionist narrative.
