The rash is produced in part as a result of the destruction of the infected endothelial cells. It seems that there are variations among rickettsial species with regard to the endothelium that they could infect. This may be due to presence/absence of receptors on endothelum from different locations.
Reckettsial rashes is a bacterial infection which can be transmitted to bloodstream by tick salivary glands. Sometimes bacterial species like Rickettsia, orientia, ehrlichia etc.transmitted to human bloodstream via bite of infected fleas, lice, ticks or mites salivary gland so due to infection in blood, rashes seen on human body. This bacterial infection not found on some body parts due to presence or absence of receptors on endothilium from different body parts. Presence of receptors on endothelial cells cause of bacterial infection.
