The exodus from rural areas to urban centers has gained momentum because the young farmers want to actualize their dreams and make their lives like the actors they see on the TV screen.
People move from Rural to Urban Areas in search for Better Life. They look for Better Education Better Lifestyle and Better Earnings. Honestly later they find out they have lost their Peace. Regards
This movement mostly driven by economic and employment reasons, but education-related reasons such as moving for your own or other's education were also important factors.
People migrate from rural to urban areas for economic/employment opportunities, but the specific reasons can be categorized as either push or pull factors.
Push factors: natural disasters, crop failure, poverty, war and conflict, unemployment, lack of clean water, poor education and health provisions, poor sewerage system, a lack of services and amenities, poor electricity and power supplies, pollution, agriculture inefficiency, political corruption, bad climate, etc. Pull factors: potential for employment, better service provisions and amenities, good food suppliers, less natural disasters, greater wealth or affluence, political security, suitable and more attractive climate, higher education, high technology, more comfortable, proper and quality housing, better living conditions, better medical care, a safe and good environment (no violence and less diseases), etc.
For better life, it is the role of government to build sustainable development in the long term in rural areas, results shall be astonishing. Britain, as well as some european countries, have succeeded in that.
Rural areas keep people because of social ties (especially to extended family), guaranteed livelihoods, and relative calm. When those are disrupted (by wars, droughts, economic upheavals) and/or when people more highly value what cities have to offer (e.g., education, health care, varied career paths, museums, restaurants, art galleries, parks), people move.
My prediction: unless governments make rural areas more attractive (or urban areas less attractive) the migration of rural to urban will continue both in the developed and the developing worlds.
People move from rural areas to urban areas for higher education, higher earnings by better employment and for life styles as many experts have already covered the topic, but in my opinion the people from rural areas are not much more engaged in harassment of environment as the urban population do. The rural environment is more sustainable as the environment is much more cleaner and pollution free there, the use of natural resources are sustainable, but for employment peoples have to move form rural to urban areas which is quite alarming. Government should look upon the various facilities and generation of employment in rural areas too , to get rid off it.
There is more employment in urban areas as well as opportunities for education. In some devloping countries certain rural areas do not have the basic necessities such as electricity, running water and sanitation. Movies and television shows also paint a rosy picture of cities that rural folks are sometimes lured into and find disappointmnet when they reach the cities due to lack of affordable housing, high crime, etc. Gone would be the simpler ways of life in rural living.
"According to Lee's Theory of Migration, there are "push" factors and the "pull" factors. Push factors: poverty, lack of job opportunity, lack of cultural/social opportunities, and lack of educational institutions.
Pull factors: "Bright lights", job and schooling opportunities, and to pursue money and wealth.
there could be many reasons. search for a better life quality as a more populated areas could provide better chance to get a job and improve one's financial situations. another reason is education for children. health facilities and social reasons are also common reason for moving from
Hello, people tend to move from rural to urban areas both because they are "pushed" away from the rural areas and because they are "pulled" to the urban areas.
The main factor that causes highly rural - urban migration are jobs, better opportunities, education, better living, and to explore the real world in terms of science and technology.
There is no overarching single reason for the migration of people to urban areas. In light of this, let me mentions a few reasons.
First, if we use China as a test case, we can say that the mass migration of people from rural area to cities is based on governmental incentives. As the central government decided to literally build cities overnight, they needed workers. So, Chinese banks made loans to companies to build the infrastructure of China. These jobs and hopes of a better life created a shift to urban areas.
Second, if we look at places like New York and London, population increases took place because of the Industrial Revolution. People followed jobs and opportunities. Therefore, people left rural areas to look for more opportunities.
Third, if we look at how rural areas are hit hard by drought and other forces of nature that limit opportunities, then we can say that part of the pull of cities is that there is little for people in rural areas.
Finally, as cities grow, there is more to do, to see, and to experience. Therefore, there is an allure, which cannot be underestimated.
Jobs and better infrastructure opportunities; urban authorities care more about law obedience, roads, transportation, health facilities, entertainment; numerous businesses to facilitate every aspect of life with competitive costs; variety of insurance companies for any kind of protection.
Sometimes, the reason being that young people are looking for more diverse and varied intensive communication with similar ones, and a better opportunity to find jobs and / or continue education.
Provide employment opportunities in the city more than provided in the villages; the development of the industrial sector in the city and the need for the hands of the workforce considerably, as well as the increase in government employment opportunities.
Migration is real parameters for achievement of sustainable and equitable life with respect to:
1. Education
2. Employment
3. Quality of life
4. Quest of 'Truth'
5. Unforeseen political situation
Transformation is a rule governing life of human beings and DNA of humans reiterate person in social and political system for achievement of 'Social Justice', 'Economic Justice' & 'Political Justice'
